About
Zahed Sultan has a deep interest in the traditions and culture of the Arabian Gulf. More precisely, he explores how our traditions and culture can evolve by re-imagining their forms while preserving their essence in a contemporary, relatable way. Traditions; Reimagined is a collection of commissioned projects developed for site specific engagements in Kuwait, Oman, and the UAE. Through multimedia, the works engaged attendees in a meaningful way and drew parallels to tradition and the role modernization can play in the development and continuity of said traditions as they are rethought and made accessible beyond borders.
